Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM) is a Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer headquartered in Wuhan, Hubei.

Founded in 1969, it is currently the third largest of the “Big Four” state-owned car manufacturers of China, namely: SAIC Motor, FAW Group, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, and Changan Automobile, with car sales of 3.28 million in 2021. DFM has a long history of cooperation with foreign automakers.

In 1984, it formed a joint venture with Nissan to produce the Nissan Sunny in China.

In 1992, it formed a joint venture with Citroën to produce the Citroën Fukang in China.

In 2010, it formed a joint venture with Renault to produce the Renault Fluence in China.

In recent years, DFM has been focusing on developing new energy vehicles. In 2017, it launched the Dongfeng e30, its first mass-produced electric car. In 2020, it launched the Dongfeng e6, its second mass-produced electric car.

Journey

The Journey is a minivan produced by Dongfeng Motor Corporation. It was launched in 2010 and is currently in its second generation. The Journey is available with a variety of engines, including a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine and a 2.0L naturally aspirated gasoline engine. It is also available with a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive system. The Journey has been well-received by the Chinese market. It has won several awards, including the 2011 China Car of the Year award.
