Tata Nexon EV
From the list of EVs offered by TATA, Tata Nexon EV is the best-selling electric vehicle that has 4 star Global NCAP safety ratings.
Form Factor
The vehicle has got dimensions (mm) as 3993 x 1811 x 1606 with a ground clearance of 205mm and curb weight of 1400 kg. It has a massive boot space of 350 litres on offer with a 60:40 rear seat split for increasing the storage.

Suspension and Wheels
Talking about the suspension, it has got Independent MacPherson strut with coil spring front suspension and Twist beam with dual path strut rear suspension arrangement.
XM Variant comes with a Steel wheel while the XZ+ and XZ+LUX Variants come with an Alloy wheel. All the tyres come in a single wheel size of R 16 215 / 60 LRR(Low Rolling Resistance).
Exterior
Coming in blue color, it reflects that it is an EV. This EV has got new front projector headlamps (Automatic in Top variant) with Tri- arrow DRLs that offer a “Follow me Home” feature at night and a front grille where the use of blue elements can be seen.
Also at the back, it has also got Tri-arrow signature LED tail lamps which give a nicer look to the vehicle. The Humanity line of the vehicle and the Tata’s signature Tri-arrow pattern can be seen on the front side which has got a different shade of blue as compared to the entire body.

Also, to add detailing to the car EV has been embedded on the front grille covering and back of the vehicle. The blue-colored sideline runs all over the body from the Doors to the back of the vehicle. The XM version has got a floating roof with dual-tone in XZ+ and XZ+ LUX variants.
XZ+ and XZ+LUX variants also come with a Sharkfin antenna. The roof has got Roof rails that are not functional. Also, except for the lower variants, all the others have got Body-colored door handles.
Interior
The Interior of the vehicle feels very premium and appealing. Like every tata vehicle, it has got Tri-arrow-themed Interiors with badging on the seats. Also, the vehicle has got a Leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel which gives a sporty look to the vehicle.
There’s a Grand central console with a front armrest & sliding tambour door, while to add space for keeping stuff it has a Cup / Can holder on the central console.

All the variants can hold 1 Litre bottle holder in all doors while we can hold the umbrella in an Umbrella holder in front doors. To keep things cool, the vehicle has got a Cooled & illuminated glove box.
Tata Nexon EV Battery and Performance
Tata Nexon EV comes with a 30.2 kWh High energy density Lithium-ion battery pack that comes with IP67 protection and liquid cooling technology. The 30.2 kWh battery pack drives the onboard Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, which delivers a power of 129 hp and a torque of 245 Nm.
The motor can make the vehicle achieve an acceleration of 0-100 kmph in 9.9 seconds. We can charge the vehicle through a CCS 2 type connector and the Stock 15 A household charger can charge the battery from 10 to 90% in 8.5 hours while the fast charger can charge the vehicle from 0 to 80% in 60 minutes.

According to the ARAIs(Automotive Research Association of India) figures, the vehicle can deliver a range of 312 km on a single charge, which is the USP of this vehicle.
The vehicle comes in multiple drive modes(Drive & Sports) which can be shifted into accordingly to get that performance from the vehicle. Like every electric vehicle, Nexon EV also offers regenerative braking, which recharges the battery to a small extent while braking.
Comfort
Talking about the comfort of the vehicle, the Top variant has got a decent-sized Electric sunroof with tilt-function and Premium seating(fabric and Premium Leatherette) in different variants.
It has got a fully automatic climate control and rear AC vents for cooling at the back as well. The driver’s seat is height adjustable in the upper two variants, while adjustable headrests are only available in the top variant.

The vehicle is operated by a smart key and offers a push-button start (PEPS) functionality. Electrically operated ORVM and power windows are available in all the variants of the vehicle.
It has also got power output ports such as a Fast USB charging port at the front, 12V front power outlet, and a 12V rear power outlet. The tailgate of the vehicle is also electrically released where inside the boot, lamps are installed for illumination purposes.
Infotainment
Talking about the infotainment system of the vehicle, it has got a ConnectNext Infotainment system by Harman™ with 4 speakers in the lower variant while ConnectNext 7″ Floating Dash-top (17.78 cm) touchscreen infotainment by Harman™ with 8 speakers in the upper two variants.
The infotainment system supports both the Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The steering holds Audio, Phone & Voice Controls. The instrument cluster of the vehicle offers a 7″ TFT digital instrument cluster with a full graphic display which shows alerts for door open, seatbelt reminder, battery charging percentage, range & also voice reminder is also available in the vehicle.

Tata Nexon EV Safety and Security
Tata has now started to make safety their prime motive that’s why they are rolling out vehicles with 4 and 5 star Global NCAP ratings. The Tata Nexon EV is also one of the safest cars which offers safety to the passenger and drivers through Driver & Co-driver airbags, Driver seat belts with pre-tensioners, load limiters & crash-locking tongue.
Also, there are Child -safety rear door locks, ISOFIX anchorage points for child-seat for children’s safety. The vehicle has got the front disc and rear drum brakes, which through ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD(Electronic brakeforce distribution) and CSC (Corner Stability Control) offers better safety. There is also a Camera-based reverse park assist (with dynamic guideways) available in the upper variants while the lower variant only holds the obstacle detection sensor.

The EV connects with a Tata Motors Zconnect mobile app which can be used to check the status of the vehicle.
It also offers Location-Based Services such as Find the nearest charging and service station, find my car, Geo-fencing, Time fencing, and Remote Commands – Remote door lock/unlock, Remote cooling, Remote vehicle diagnostics, Remote lights ON/OFF, etc. Apart from these features, it offers 20+ Vehicle Health Alerts, Trip analytics & driver behavior score.

The vehicle is available in the price range of 18,000$ to 22,000$. The company offers a battery pack warranty of 8 Years or 1,60,000 km and a vehicle warranty of 3 Years or 1,25,000 km. The warranty can also be extended at an extra cost.
